Prime minister must have the courage to come forward and answer the charges made by Rahul Gandhi – Shobha Oza

Instead of giving a direct answer to the charges made by Rahul Gandhi, he is trying to escape by making such statements,” said Shobha Oza. Oza further said the prime minister must have the courage to come forward and answer the charges made by Rahul Gandhi

The Congress party on Friday criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for comparing the opposition to Pakistan saying, the former has forgotten to maintain sanctity of his position.  “Prime Minister has even forgotten to maintain the sanctity of his position. Instead of giving a direct answer to the charges made by Rahul Gandhi, he is trying to escape by making such statements,” said Shobha Oza.  Oza further said the prime minister must have the courage to come forward and answer the charges made by Rahul.

Another Congress leader, Meem Afzal, said, “This is very shameful that the prime minister is also trying to play the same politics which is played by their party’s small leaders like Giriraj Kishore. I think the prime minister should not try to become like Giriraj Kishore. I am shocked that he is trying to go down from the position that he is holding,” he said.  On Thursday, Prime Minister Modi said he had never imagined that some political parties, some political leaders would shamelessly take sides with the dishonest.  He further compared the opposition din during the winter session of the parliament to “cover fire” provided by Pakistan to “push infiltrators into India”.

Commenting on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the Prime Minister said his speech held no relevance.  “Since the time he has learnt how to speak, there is no extent to my happiness. Till 2009, there was no clue as to what is inside the packet (Gandhi). Better that he started speaking, at least we came to know that there is no scope of earthquake occurring,” said Modi. The Prime Minister opined that the opposition’s criticism is actually benefitting them, because by doing so they re exposing themselves and the “black heart” of people is coming to light, in front of people.

Modi ji jawab do – Sobha Oza

The All India Mahila Congress organized a demonstration and burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi opposite BJP Headquarters demanding his answer to the serious questions raised by Shri Rahul Gandhi based on two pieces of documents that reveal that the Prime Minister has taken huge amounts of money from big Industrial Houses like Sahara and Birla Groups.

The said documents raise serious doubts on the very credibility of the Prime Minister who has always tried to project himself as the world’s most honest man. He needs to answer the Nation and come out clean on this issue. It seems that mudslinging on others is a favourite pastime of Mr. Modi but now he is totally exposed as the truth has come out which has shattered his tall claims of “NA KHAUNGA, NA KHANE DUNGA”.

The demonstration was held under the leadership of Smt. Shobha Oza, President AIMC. AIMC General Secretary, & Incharge Delhi PMC Ms. Netta D’ Souza, President Delhi PMC Smt. Barkha Singh, AIMC office bearer, Smt Neetu Verma Soin, Smt. Seema Abid etc. participated in the demonstration.

Sahara paid crores to Modi: Rahul Gandhi’s explosive corruption charge on PM

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi took on Narendra Modi at the prime minister’s home turf in Mehsana, Gujarat, accusing Modi of having taken money from the Sahara conglomerate. He also accused Modi of being against the honest people of India, saying the demonetisation exercise will not nab the corrupt people or the black money hoarders.

The Income Tax Department had raided Sahara Company on 22 November, 2014. Rahul said as per the records, Rs 2.5 crore was given to Modi on 30 October, 2013; Rs 5 crore on 12 November, 20113; Rs 2.5 crore on 27 November, 2013; Rs 5 crore on 29 November, 2013. He added that entries showed Rs 5 crore given to the prime minister on 6 December, 2013; Rs 5 crore on 19 December, 2013; Rs 5 crore on 13 January, 2014; Rs 5 crore on 28 January, 2014, and Rs 5 crore 22 February, 2014.

A few days back, Rahul had alleged, “Modi is very scared because I have personal information on the prime minister.” On Wednesday, he followed up that by saying Modi got money from Sahara back when when he was chief minister of Gujarat.

The Congress vice-president said Modi has divided the country into two parts: 1 percent comprising the rich, and the 99 percent population of labourers, farmers, small-time traders and the middle class Indians. He alleged that because of Modi’s policies, the 1 percent population has amassed 60 percent of the country’s wealthy, while the 99 percent of the population of labourers, farmers, small-time traders and the middle class Indians were burdened with demonetisation.

“All cash is not black, all black money is not in cash,” Rahul told the crowd in Mehsana, using a line he had last said at his Madgaon rally on Saturday. Black money is not with the 99 percent, but is being hoarded by the 50 rich families hobnobbing with Modi, he said.

He accused the BJP government of taking land from the adivasis of Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and that the Dalits are living in a state of fear. “The Patidars of Gujarat carried out their movement in a non-violent manner, but the BJP government tried repressing with violence,” he said, adding that only six percent of the black money is in cash, while 94 percent is in the form of real estate.

During his Lok Sabha election campaign, Modi had promised to bring black money back to India, Rahul said. He said most of the black money is stored in off-shore accounts, and the Modi government had promised to recover it. He added that though the Switzerland government has shared a list of people holding accounts at Swiss banks with the prime minister, Modi never brought it up in Parliament. He also said that after demonetisation, Modi had changed the narrative a number of times. Initially, it was against black money, then it became a fight against counterfeit notes, and now it’s all about cashless economy.

Rahul said that because of demonetisation, sectors like engineering, construction, powerloom, transport and textile have all been crippled. “It was not a surgical strike on black money, but firing bombing on the farmers, labourers and middle-class Indians,” he said.

Rahul also alleged that Modi is protecting the 50 richest families in India. He said that it is the 1 percent rich who have taken loans worth Rs 8 lakh crores from the public sector banks that the prime minister is trying to protect. Rahul also mentioned Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya, and asked why were they not brought back to India. He said that Modi did not waive off farmer loans, but waived of loans of industrialists.

Meanwhile, the BJP slammed Rahul and claimed that all allegations are false. BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said he will soon hold a press conference and clarify all points raised by Rahul Gandhi.

Instead of trolling Rahul Gandhi, learn from him: Congress to BJP

Asserting that the Congress Party has always maintained its dignity and followed protocol in politics, the grand old party on Tuesday hailed its vice-president Rahul Gandhi, saying the way he stopped the Opposition from raising slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed how great a personality he was, adding that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should learn a lesson instead of trolling him.

“Rahul Gandhi has always asked us to follow protocol and morality in politics. He has always been of the opinion that one should not use foul language. Whenever we talk about the Prime Minister, we talk in a very decent manner. This is the reason, when slogans were raised against the Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi, instead of encouraging them, said that such sloganeering should not be done. This elevates the stature of Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the people of BJP who are busy trolling him should learn a lesson,” said Afzal.

Also, holding the BJP responsible for stalling parliament, Afzal said the party did not let function Parliament because it was under the fear of getting exposed by Rahul Gandhi.

“It was the BJP which stalled parliament during the last days of the session. The party did not let Rahul Gandhi speak on the floor, because it was afraid that he might reveal something explosive.” Rahul Gandhi, on December 14 alleged the government was not letting him speak in parliament because he had personal information about the Prime Minister’s corruption.

“The way their Parliamentary Affairs minister criticised the Congress, it shows that democracy holds no value in the eyes of this government,” he added. Shifting his focus towards demonetisation, the Congress leader reminded the government of pointing out the loopholes in the scheme which they ignored, but were facing the same now.

“The government, till now, has made 125 rules related to demonetisation. When we pointed out that the government has announced the move without any preparedness, they didn’t consider it and now they are coming up with new rules every single day. This proves that the government did not take anything into consideration. They inflicted pain on 125 crore people, out of whom many even died.”

Commenting on the recent development over Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), reducing its interest rate from 8.8% to 8.65 %, Afzal said the government was not ready to spare anybody. “Till now, the workers, labourers, the poor were in distress, but now the service class is on target. This attack is very shameful. They are not ready to spare anyone,” he said.
